The digital census has been a big discussion among the people and political forums. Recently on 12 February, a massive protest was held in Karachi by Awami tehreek at the Karachi press club. They strongly rejected digital census without the condition of identity cards. Nowadays, the country is facing the worst situation of economic crisis and the government is running for spending about thirty-five billion on the digital census. Normally census happens after every ten years but this time it is done five years ahead of schedule.
After all, why is the census happening so fast is the question. A number of terrorist groups and smugglers from Afghanistan and other countries are brought for political purposes. Firstly they will harm business and culture secondly they will abolish the identity and demography of Sindh by converting them into a minority.
A day before yesterday Sindhi Association of North America (SANA) organized a seminar in Karachi on the digital census. Where almost all nationalist and leftist parties of Sindh gathered to make a demand and rejected digital census. All the parties rejected the digital census happening before time and without the condition of identity card declaring it unlawful and unconstitutional. This will harm the identity and demography of the indigenous citizens of nations by bringing out strangers without any restriction.
The digital census is a conspiracy against Sindh to bring out strangers. Census is not done in any country without the condition of an identity card. It is clear that this census is planned for any specific purpose.
Since the creation of Pakistan, Sindhis, and Balochis are fighting for their rights, language, identity, and resources but they are ill-treated. They were attacked in different ways in the form of one unit, in the form of strangers settlement, bag governance, terrorism, etc. The powers and authorities of the country have planned to select the rulers of their choice, to whom they purchase and in the back, they manage to snatch all the resources and rights of the local people and nations. The rulers sold all resources land, water, islands, and power plants to the throne.
