LAHORE: UET has launched an investigation of the Ph.D. question paper leak.
The University of Engineering and Technology (UET) in Lahore initiated an investigation on Thursday after a PhD Islamiyat question paper was leaked online before the test, according to the local news media.
According to the data, the Vice-Chancellor of UET has created a two-member inquiry team to investigate the paper leak matter and has given them 10 days to present a report.
Dr. Naveed Ramzan, Dean of Natural Sciences, will chair the committee, with Dr. Shahid Rafique, Professor of Physics, as a member.
The committee was created a day after the Punjab Higher Education Department demanded a response from Vice-Chancellor UET regarding a leaked Ph.D. Islamiyat paper.
A letter was also sent to UET’s Vice-Chancellor, requesting that the university submit records and information about the paper leak to HEC Punjab within three days.
“I am directed to convey to you that the reply of the university in the instant matter is still awaited. Therefore, you are once again requested to submit a report related to the matter within three days,” read the letter.
