Following a three-day suspension, mobile internet and broadband services are finally restored throughout Pakistan.
Due to continued PTI rallies against Imran Khan’s imprisonment, the Pakistan Telecommunications Authority on Wednesday shut down internet services nationwide and declared that it will remain shut down indefinitely but now they have restored them.
On the other hand, earlier in an unexpected turn of events, Hareem Shah, who loves to stir up controversy, had threatened to publish offensive videos purportedly featuring Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah.
This audacious warning was made against the backdrop of a four-day nationwide mobile internet service suspension, which was put in place in reaction to sizable protests sparked by the detention of the former prime minister Imran Khan.
The well-known TikTok star gave Rana Sanaullah a blunt ultimatum on Twitter by requesting the immediate reinstatement of mobile internet access. Hareem Shah issued a warning that if her demand was not satisfied within the allotted period, she would retaliate by publishing a number of videos that would endanger the Minister.
Hareem Shah has a history of grabbing the attention of the media with her controversial actions and remarks. When personal videos of her were recently posted online, she had to deal with a major problem. On numerous online forums, the incident provoked a contentious discussion and considerable criticism. In reaction, Hareem Shah accused her pals of invading her privacy and stated that she intended to sue them.
This isn’t the first time Shah has found herself at the centre of controversy. She has a history of attracting media attention with her provocative actions and statements. Recently, she faced a major scandal when private videos of her were leaked on social media. The incident sparked a heated debate and widespread criticism across various online platforms. Hareem Shah, in response, blamed her friends for this breach of privacy and expressed her intention to pursue legal action against them.
Furthermore, in 2019, a video featuring Hareem Shah and Sheikh Rashid, the former Federal Minister for Railways, went viral on social media. The controversial clip garnered significant attention and generated a considerable amount of controversy. However, Hareem Shah later deleted the video from her social media accounts and released a statement disowning it. She claimed that she had no intention to defame anyone and sought to distance herself from the incident.
