A water bottle was thrown at Imran Khan during a court appearance. Imran Khan, the leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), was attacked with a water bottle by an unidentified man as he entered a court in the federal capital.
The PTI shared a video of the strange incident on its official Twitter account while criticizing the government for the court’s inadequate security measures.
Due to his personal security, the former premier was protected from the bottle.
Imran Khan was captured on camera exiting his car and walking towards the court when a bottle was thrown from the courthouse’s roof.

The PTI chief appeared before a district and sessions court to hear the Toshakhana case filed by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) against him for failing to declare the gifts he received from the state depository.
As general elections approach, political tensions between the ruling parties and Imran Khan’s PTI are heating up.
The current National Assembly’s term is set to expire on August 12.
Khan was born in Lahore to a Niazi Pashtun family and attended Keble College, Oxford.
He made his international debut in a 1971 Test series against England.
Khan played until 1992, was the team’s captain intermittently between 1982 and 1992, and led Pakistan to its only World Cup victory in 1992.
Khan was later inducted into the ICC Cricket Hall of Fame as one of cricket’s greatest all-rounders.
Khan founded the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in 1996 and won a seat in the National Assembly in the 2002 general election, representing Mianwali as an opposition member until 2007.
