Yumna Zaidi observes Muharram in Karbala. The 10th of Muharram, Ashura, commemorates a pivotal event in Islamic history: the Battle of Karbala.

The 33-year-old Yumna Zaidi recently embarked on a significant journey to Karbala, Iraq. She spent the first days of Muharram at Karbala with her mother, driven by her profound religious devotion.

Despite her desire for solitude, Zaidi’s mother shared many photos depicting moments of love and reverence.

On the work front, Zaidi is preparing to make her film debut in Nayab as a cricketer, a role that required her to go deep into the world of cricket and familiarise herself with its complexities.

Yumna Zaidi is a Pakistani actress. She has established her career as one of the leading television actresses in the Urdu television industry and is known for portraying diverse characters in social to romantic dramas. Zaidi is the recipient of three Lux Style Awards.

Zaidi first appeared as a supporting character in ARY Digital domestic-drama Thakan (2012) and then played lead roles in several television series, including the melodrama Khushi Ek Roag, the romantic drama Teri Raah Main Rul Gai, (both 2012) the family drama Meri Dulari and the revenge drama Ullu Baraye Farokht Nahi (both 2013), the later of which earned her praise and a nomination of Hum Award for Best Supporting Actress.
