Following yet another episode of alleged blasphemy and an irate crowd destroying churches in Faisalabad’s Jaranwala tehsil, many locals have spoken out against such disorderly behavior.

Protesters, according to media reports, demolished the home of a Christian cleaner convicted of blasphemy.

In view of the devastation inflicting havoc on the country and its people, Lollywood actress Sajal Aly spoke out against inciting violence without proof.

Taking to Instagram, the Gul-e-Rana actress shared her thoughts.

“There is no place for violence in any religion,” the Sinf-e-Aahan star began.

“Such a Shamefull act [sic]” she emphasized. ”Absolutely heartbroken disgusted,” Aly added.

“I strongly condemn this act of violence against minorities. Praying for unity and peace,” the actress noted.

Actress Azekah Daniel added, “This is NOT Jinnah’s Pakistan! I strongly condemn this atrocity against the Christian community.”

”Why can’t show some respect for Holy places be it a Church or a Mosque? I stand against these atrocities and unjust acts of violence!”

“I DEMAND JUSTICE FOR ALL,” she commented.

In another post, Daniel added, “Dear Mainstream Media & Journalists of Pakistan, Today we are witnessing the beginning of ethnic cleansing in Pakistan. Pakistani Christians are being persecuted, Church burnt down & the whole colony ablaze, will you raise your voice for us.”

On Wednesday, an enraged crowd vandalized a number of churches in Faisalabad’s Jaranwala tehsil over blasphemy allegations.

According to a pastor, the Salvation Army Church, United Presbyterian Church, Allied Foundation Church, and Shehroonwala Church in the Isa Nagri region were all destroyed during the incidents.

He claimed that demonstrators also burned down the home of a Christian cleaner suspected of blasphemy.

Police have filed a first information report (FIR) against the suspects under Pakistan Penal Code sections 295B (defiling, etc., of the Holy Quran) and 295C (use of disparaging words, etc., in regard to the Holy Prophet).
