Aima Baig speaks about her painful journey. With a distinguished career filled with numerous original soundtracks (OSTs) and top songs to her name, Aima Baig is currently regarded as one of Pakistan’s leading musicians.
Although Baig has achieved great success, she has not been without her share of struggles, which she openly discussed in a recent interview with Fuchsia magazine.
Aima spoke fondly of how she used to sleep next to her mother every night until her death. When her mother passed away, Aima discovered that she was unable to cry.
It’s ironic that this apparent emotional numbness set off a long-term battle with depression that she has valiantly fought for a number of years.
Notably, her mother was crucial in fostering and supporting her fledgling singing career.
Baig also shared a terrifying part of her life during a vulnerable moment. Aima’s emotional turmoil peaked following a period of intense upheaval, particularly the Talulah Mair controversy, to the point where she was considering self-harm.

Fortunately, throughout this dark episode, her father proved to be a steadfast source of support for her. He helped her in her hour of need and gave her the consolation and direction she sorely needed, reassuring her of the value of family in her life.
She later traveled to Umrah as a pilgrim to find comfort and healing; this trip was crucial in saving her from the depths of despair she had been experiencing.
On the work front, Baig enjoys many smash hit songs including Ye Aaj Mujh Ko Kya Hua, Balma Bhagora, Kuch To Hua Hai, Khawabon Mein, Loota Rey, Pretty Face, Rahain, Satrangi, and Funkari to name a few.
