Pakistan’s ex-PM Imran Khan arrested in Toshakhana case. Imran Khan, the former prime minister and leader of the Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf, has been arrested in connection with the Toshakhana case.
According to media sources, the PTI head, 70, has been detained in the provincial capital of Lahore and will be transferred to the country’s federal capital of Islamabad for additional procedures.
The arrest warrant was issued by the court after the PTI chairman was sentenced to three years in prison.

Following the verdict in a graft case, the Inspector General of Islamabad Police has been asked to arrest the former PM immediately.
As Pakistan’s ex-PM Imran Khan was arrested in the Toshakhana case, Judge Humayun Dilawar convicted PTI Chairman Imran Khan guilty of corrupt practices in the case earlier today and ordered a sentence.
The judgment found that the former Prime Minister’s graft charges in the case were proven. Imran Khan was found guilty of corrupt practices under Section 174 of the Election Act after submitting false information to the Election Commission of Pakistan.
The court denied the PTI chief’s petition against the lawsuit being declared maintainable.
