Twenty players have been selected by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for the Test series against South Africa.
Babar Azam and Muhammad Rizwan will lead the team, according to Chief Selector National Cricket Team Muhammad Waseem, who was speaking at a news conference in Rawalpindi on Thursday.
The squad also includes Imran Butt, Azhar Ali, Yasir Shah, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Abdullah Shafique, Agha Salman, Saud Shakeel, Kamran Ghulam, Mohammad Nawaz, Nauman Ali, Sajid Khan, Hassan Ali, Haris Rauf, and Tabish Khan.
The team was chosen, according to the Chief Selector, taking into consideration the players’ prior achievements. He claimed that the players’ fielding and fitness were taken into consideration when awarding the central contracts.
