FIA Cyber Crime Circle Dera Ismail Khan seized 2800 fake silicone fingerprints, illegally activated SIMs, Biometric Verification System (BVS), and other digital devices and arrested 2 accused during a raid at Telecom franchise in Karak.
A FIA Cyber Crime Official told DAWN that FIA Cybercrime Circle Dera Ismail Khan raided a private telecom franchise in the Karak area on a tip-off that was involved in the illegal activation of SIMs through fake silicon fingerprints.
During the raid, More than 2800 fake silicone fingerprints, illegally activated SIMs, Biometric Verification System (BVS), and other digital devices and arrested 2 accused.
Fake silicone fingerprints were used in the illegal activation of SIM Cards that are commonly used in fraudulent activities. FIA Cyber Crime Circle Dera has arrested 2 accused during the raid and registered cases against them.
