It’s been a year since the dispensation of the Afghan Taliban in the government.
This was considered a brave move by the Taliban who were waiting for the US to withdraw its troops from Afghanistan.
The celebratory gunshots were fired in Kabul to mark one year into the capital. They are celebrating it as a victory against all the falsehoods.
The economic crisis faced by the country is a massive challenge for the Taliban currently.
The rising pressure on the economy owing to the reluctance of foreign powers in bringing the country to the track of progress.
Since the development aid upon which the country relied for a long period of time has been curtailed by the international community.
In order to bring the country back on the path of progress, the Taliban government demands the 9 billion dollars of assets back for bringing the country on right track.
As the government hesitates to have talked with the US regarding frozen assets and the US on the other side, demands the Taliban to step down from the government position.
It would be not wrong to say that Afghanistan has been witnessing a surge in humanitarian crises including poverty and gender discrimination.
As approximately 25 million Afghanis are living below the poverty line.
Moreover, United Nations has also predicted that soon the people of Afghanistan will be facing challenges related to unemployment.
The main reason behind such challenges is the lack of uniformity of laws.
The traditional aspects of International Law including International Human Rights Law are not being practiced in the state.
As foreign states are not coming up to support Afghanis despite the humanitarian and development challenges.
In order to legitimize their rule in Afghanistan, it is an hour’s need to gain the confidence of the international community by granting fundamental rights to women and children of Afghanistan along with minimizing the violence in the state.
As history gives a bleak picture of the Afghan Taliban owing to which it is essential to enhance the trust of the international community alongside the people of Afghanistan for a better future.
