Incident of communal violence in Hyderabad, Sindh

An incident of communal violence has been reported in Hyderabad, Sindh.

On 21 August, allegedly, an despicable incident was reported at Saddar, Hyderabad.

A man was accused of sacrilege of the Holy Quran.

The horrific scenes turned into a gruesome violence as a large mob gathered there to get hold of that alleged man.

Credit to the LEAs for their timely response, and everything, seemingly turned safe for everyone.

As of now, including a sanitary worker, more than 60 angry demonstrators have been booked.

After a thorough investigation by the Sindh Police, the ‘real’ man turned out to be the one amongst those demonstrators.

His confession to the Sindh Police that, he burnt all archaic banners, including of the Quran.

However, the situation there turned quite violent, as the mob blocked streets, broke windowpanes to reach to that alleged apartment.

Had there been no timely response for LEAs, many innocent would have been victim of such sheer violence.

Notwithstanding the fact, such communal incidents have taken place across country for time and again, especially in the province of Sindh.

Recently, it happened in Ghotki, earlier in Larkana; in both the cases, temples were vandalized shamelessly.

Ironically, all those incidents, after a thorough investigation proved out to be created on the basis of personal conflicts, but none were the actual cases.

While those who become a part of such mob and react grotesque— most of them are unfamiliar of the real case.

They gather, because the rumors convey a clear message—well a violent one.

Some questions continue to left us speechless that, it marks 75 years of the independence of Pakistan, yet the communal violence are inevitably taking places in targeted cities of Pakistan.

Onus is on religious clerks, they should play their role to leverage the anger and hold a healthy discource in order to prevent fatalities, and ensure no innocent is subject to terror.

It is also a responsibility of the state punish those involved in playing with fire. Timely crackdown down against the violent mob proved to be a welcome move.

Such proactive responses against such heinous incidents should continue to prevail in order to ensure social harmony and sanctity among the masses.

Pakistan was dream of our founding fathers, let the dream should prevail with peace and interfaith harmony.
