WhatsApp to roll out ‘Report Bug’ feature for its users

A new feature for users of the instant messaging service WhatsApp has been unveiled, and it will be made available in further software upgrades in the coming months. This update will make it easier for users to contact WhatsApp Support directly to report bugs should they encounter any problems.

According to Wabetainfo, “Occasionally, you may have a problem while using a particular function of WhatsApp, for example, when sending messages or you’re backing up your conversation history on Google Drive and something goes wrong: in this situation, a bug report may help WhatsApp analyze the issue.”

Upcoming WhatsApp update

The development team is presently working on a new area, just for this function, which will be introduced in a forthcoming app update. Currently, users could report issues to WhatsApp Support by clicking “contact us,” but this feature will soon be moved to its own part.

Under WhatsApp Settings, there will soon be a new row labeled “Report problem.” It may be used, as the name suggests, to report defects by attaching a statement and pertinent screenshots. The difference between reporting an issue via this area and through “contact us” is still unclear to them. According to Webetainfo, it seems sensible that a report sent from this portion would have a different priority, but they will have to wait till a subsequent update to find out.

 Previous WhatsApp updated

Based on the official changelog, WhatsApp has put out another functionality. In both private and group conversations, the new WhatsApp 22.18.75 upgrade allows users to delete messages that were sent during the previous two days and twelve hours.

The option to remove messages for more than two days and the newly designed graphics are now accessible to all users, so be sure to upgrade the app from the App Store to obtain the update, as stated on the Wabetainfo website.

Although this function was first mentioned on Twitter 20 days ago, it has just recently begun to be used.
