Prime Minister reaches Kalam to review Flood Relief Operations
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has arrived today in Kalam for reviewing the flood relief and rehabilitation related activities in the flood affected districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
According to details, the prime minister has reviewed the operations related to floods relief and also meet the affected people. The relevant authorities has also briefed PM Shehbaz Sharif on the losses and relief activities.
During the visit, the prime minister also directed all the related concerned authorities to shift all the flood victims to safe places. He has also issued the instructions for speeding up evacuation of people who were stranded in Kalam.
The premier has also directed Frontier Works Organization (FWO) for repairing the roads on emergency basis, noting that he would personally monitor the maintenance work. As infrastructure has been affected badly by the havoc of floods. Prime Minister will also visit badly affected areas including Lower Kohistan region.
Although, Prime Minister according to sources was scheduled to visit UAE in September on a two-day official visit starting on 2nd September 2022. The foreign office will also release a revised schedule of PM Shahbaz’s visit later.
In last few days, Prime Minister has visited all the flood affected areas and has met all the people whose houses swap away in flood water. Flood has brutally affected the infrastructure, agriculture and lives of the people.
Recently, International organisations along side states have stepped forward to help Pakistan in this difficult time. As humanitarian aid has been given from all over the world. World has given both the moral and financial support to the people of Pakistan in an hours need.

In a longer run, it would not be wrong to say that flood will have a profound impact on the country and overcoming the challenges will be a daunting task for the government as well.
