D I Khan: Police arrest a gang of fugitive dacoits
Police have arrested three thieves and seized weapons, ammunition and a stolen transformer from their possession during an operation, police spokesman said.
District Police Spokesman D I Khan Imtiaz Ali Janjua said, a police contingent led by SDPO Saddar Circle Hafiz Muhammad Adnan Khan along with SHO Dera Town Mukhtiar Hussain have carried out a successful operation against a gang of dacoits.
The dacoits were accused of stealing a government electricity transformer within the limits of Bandkorai police station last night.
As the police contingent reached the Daraban Road where the thieves took the transformer on 02 motorcycles, The dacoits opened fire on the police contingent.
In retaliatory firing by Police, the leader of the gang, Salim Baloch son of Amanullah sustained injuries and Police arrested all the accused which were identified as Muhammad Ramzan and Salim, sons of Abdul Sattar.
Police also seized weapons, ammunition and the stolen transformer d from the possession of the dacoits.

The suspect Ramzan was also wanted to University Police in a murder case while the other thieves were also wanted in many other robbery, theft cases.
