Honey Singh divorced, pays a hefty 1 Crore in alimony
The famous Punjabi singer Yo Yo Honey Singh & his wife Shalini Talwar got divorced officially. The couple had been married for 11 years & now after being through the excruciating legal process, they’ve finally called it over.
Shalini Talwar had accused the Punjabi singer of not only domestic violence but him cheating on her several times.
The wife had filed a case around 1 year back which stated that Yo Yo Honey Singh had been torturing her mentally, physically, emotionally & verbally. Both at his hands & his family’s too. It all resulted in her constantly living in fear & even led her to depression. She asked the court to act upon the protection of women against domestic violence act 2005.
The court hearing proceeded & then gave them some time to re-think their decision outside of court. It didn’t turn out fruitful & now the novel news says that the couple reached to divorce amicably. The decision was mutual.

After the divorce finalization, Yo Yo Honey Singh paid a heft amount of 1 crore in alimony. The exorbitant amount of alimony has made several ripples in the news. The couple, however, will be going their separate ways from this day onwards.
