PM Shehbaz, Indian PM Modi to attend regional SCO
Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India, and Shehbaz Sharif, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, will both attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit, which will be held in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, on September 15 and 16.
Modi‘s scheduled bilateral meetings with Chinese President Xi Jinping, Russian President Vladimir Putin, and his equivalent from Pakistan have not yet been announced by New Delhi.
The heads of SCO governments would attend the summit, all of the ministers reiterated earlier during the SCO foreign ministers’ meeting.

A bilateral meeting between the leaders of Pakistan and India is not planned, according to foreign minister (FM) Bilawal Bhutto, who was present at the gathering in Tashkent.
Since both India and Pakistan are SCO members and merely participate in the organization’s general activities, Bilawal stated that there are “no arrangements” for meetings between the prime ministers of those countries in September.
India is a neighboring country, according to the foreign minister. While there are many things that one can pick, one cannot choose their neighbor, thus we should get used to living next to them.
In addition, it has been claimed that the summit will feature a meeting between Chinese Xi and Russian Putin. China has increased its purchases of Russian oil while refusing to denounce Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine.
Meanwhile, PM Modi will inaugurate the IDF World Dairy Summit 2022.
