Santa Clause Is All Set To Retire This Christmas
You won’t believe who will take on Santa’s job. The trailer for The Santa Clauses is out where Santa has clearly indicated that he is going to retire from his job. As Scott is on the verge of his 65th birthday and realizes he can’t be Santa forever, he announces his retirement from the elves and begins the process of finding a worthy replacement for him.
In the first trailer for The Santa Clauses for Disney +, Scott meets Calvin (Tim Allen) Peyton Manning about taking on the pivotal role of Kris Kringle. The first trailer for the series and the show’s two-episode premiere on November 16 were shared on D23 in Anaheim on Saturday. In addition to Allen who was greeted by a huge roar from the crowd, the series will also see Elizabeth Mitchell in the role of Carol / Mrs. Claus, Elizabeth Allen-Dick as Sandra, Devin Bright as Noel, Austin Kane as Cal, Matilda Lawler as Betty, Rupali Redd as Grace, Laura San Giacomo as the Christmas Witch and Kal Penn as Simon Choski.
“You created me,” Allen said when asked why he decided to reprise his character. “We’ve thought about it for a long time. The only way I would do this is if they respond to some of the above. You answer questions. I said yes.”
Questions that will be answered include why Mrs. Claus doesn’t have a first name, the story of Santa Claus and if there were human children at the North Pole. You know, the burning questions!
“You’re going to dig,” Allen insisted.
Allen also confirmed the news that Deadline recently revealed that David Krumholtz will be reprising his beloved role as Bernard the Elf. Emmy-winning Jack Burditt (30 Rock, Frasier) serves as executive producer and showrunner, and Allen, Kevin Hench (Last Man Standing), Richard Baker and Rick Messina will also serve as executive producers for Small Dog, along with Jason Winer and Jon Radler.
The Disney Branded Television Series is a production of 20th Television, part of Disney Television Studios.
