Ukraine slams Germany for failing to supply weapons
Germany has come under fire from the foreign ministry of Ukraine for neglecting to provide the nation with heavy weapons and tanks.
Dmytro Kuleba, the foreign minister of Ukraine, wrote on Twitter, “Disappointing signals from Germany while Ukraine needs Leopards and Marders now, to liberate people and save them”, he added more: “not a single rational argument on why these weapons cannot be supplied, only abstract fears and excuses”.
Berlin declared on Thursday that it would provide Ukraine with a number of rocket launchers, “Dingo” armored troop carriers, and Leopard tanks to assist Ukrainian forces in fending off Russian forces.
In an interview, Kuleba stated: “We ask for Leopard tanks and Marder (armored vehicles), and Germany supplies armored vehicles of the Dingo type”.
Later, Kuleba questioned the German shipment, claiming that the new weaponry Berlin had promised were “not what we need most.”, he said: “We are grateful for them. But that is not what we need most in combat… What is the problem? Why can’t we get what we need, and what Germany has?”
Germany has persistently declined to give Kiev Leopards and Marders despite repeated requests from Ukraine to NATO members and despite Berlin having provided Kiev with other munitions. Germany is largely dependent on western weapons.

Berlin claims that no other country has given Ukraine battle tanks made in the West.
Both in the south and the northeast of the country, Ukraine launched counterattacks against Russian soldiers. These efforts have been successful, as Russian forces are now leaving towns and villages across the area.
