Flour distribution sparks controversy
The distribution of flour among flour dealers has been started after exchanging the earlier prepared list of 125 flour dealers with a new list which allegedly only has PTI workers’ names in it.
The Flour Dealers Association announced a protest rejecting the new list stating the decision of the new list as “awarding undeserving people with the distribution of flour by unrelated persons.
Patron of All Kariana Association Kafeel Ahmad Nizami has written to the Deputy Commissioner Dera requesting to distribute flour among old and original flour dealers instead of distributing flour on a political basis.
Instead of including the names of flour dealers belonging to the Flour Dealers Association in the new lists, Deputy Commissioner Dera has finalized the list by adding only the name of Kafeel Ahmad Nizami.
Kafeel Ahmad Nizami has alleged that the new lists have been compiled on the behest of ex-federal minister Sardar Ali Amin Khan Gandapur.
He said, Deputy Commissioner D I Khan should remain neutral, instead of favoring the ruling party, he [DC] should distribute the flour among the original flour dealers as per the old lists.
Mr. Nizami said he will not take his flour quota in protest until other flour dealers are given their rights.
“If our legitimate demand is not accepted within 72 hours and the distribution of flour on a political basis is not canceled, then our next course of action will be very strict and will be announced with the advice of the traders of D I Khan”, Kafeel Ahmad Nizami warns.
Mr. Kafeel Ahmad Nizami said, under the supervision of the Food Department, flour was distributed fairly according to the lists prepared by the first 125 flour dealers but after the recent increase in the prices of flour, a list of only 43 political workers of PTI has been made instead of 125 flour dealers to privilege the PTI workers at the behest of ex-federal minister Ali Amin Gandapur.
Mr. Nizami added that instead of being a puppet of the ruling party, Deputy Commissioner D I Khan should perform his administrative duties honestly.

He said: “my name was included in the list to silence me; however, I will not receive the flour of my quota because I have to protect the rights of the remaining flour dealers”.
He demanded that Deputy Commissioner D I khan should perform an impartial role against the distribution of flour on political grounds.
