Virat Kohli’s words on Roger Federer’s most trending picture
Virat Kohli, an Indian batsman, responded to the trending picture of Roger Federer, who was observed crying after the last game of his career, on Twitter.
Kohli tweeted: “Who thought rivals can feel like this towards each other. That’s the beauty of sport. This is the most beautiful sporting picture ever for me. When your companions cry for you, you know why you’ve been able to do with your god given talent. Nothing but respect for these 2.”

As Roger Federer competed in his final match at the Laver Cup on Friday, his professional tennis career came to an end. In a doubles match, the 41-year-old participated with longtime rival Rafael Nadal. He did not, however, have a happy ending as the pair blundered to a loss. Federer was observed crying and acting upset after the game. Nadal too broke down in tears, and a photo of the pair crying simultaneously has since gone viral.
David Warner, the first batter for Australia, responded to the Nadal and Federer photo that has now gone viral. He posted on Instagram and stated: “These two pics sum up what sports about. Loved their rivalry but most importantly the respect for each other.”
At the O2 arena, Jack Sock and Frances Tiafoe of Team World defeated Federer and Nadal 4-6, 7-6 (7/2), and 11-9.
With Nadal and Djokovic, Federer had a fierce competition throughout his entire career. He played 40 times where the Swiss tennis player fell behind 16–24 against the Spaniard Nadal. Federer is down to Djokovic 23–27.
Nobody can ever forget Federer’s Wimbledon finals matches versus Nadal and Djokovic in 2008 and 2019, respectively, because they caught everyone’s attention. Both of these games lasted longer than four hours each.
Federer won five US Open titles, one French Open title, and six Australian Open titles in addition to his eight Wimbledon victories. Federer had a fierce competition with players like Nadal and Djokovic throughout his career. These players, known as the “Big Three,” dominated the sport to an unprecedented degree.
