VC of GCU faces criticism in wake of inviting Imran Khan

Vice Chancellor of Government College University (GCU) is being criticized for arranging a political session at GCU today. VC also called Imran Khan as his Quaid in session which made his views controversial.

Netizens are demanding strict action against Vice Chancellor of GCU after a PTI political event took place in the campus premises. He is being called out for using ‘a seat of learning’ for political purposes. A hashtag #RemoveVCofGCU has also become a trending topic on Twitter.

The event is organised in collaboration with the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB), Government of the Punjab. Starting tomorrow, we will aim to spearhead the new education and skills policy from the platform of Government College University Lahore.

Former Pakistan Prime Minister and Chief Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan said on Monday that corruption is the biggest threat to Pakistan and that current rulers have been licensed again to protect their corruption.

In a ceremony at GC University in Lahore, Imran Khan also deeply criticized PML-N leader ,Ishaq Dar, saying he fled Pakistan on the plane of then Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and is now returning to the country with the Incumbent Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif despite ruining the country’s economy.

Commenting on the alleged foreign conspiracy to topple his government, Imran Khan said Donald Lu threatened of strong reaction if the PTI government is not removed. On March 7, Lu threatened Pakistani envoy Asad Majeed and on March 8, PDM tabled a no-confidence move in NA, he added.

Corrupt rulers were imposed on Pakistan again through “foreign conspiracy”, Imran Khan said. He said 60pc cabinet members of the incumbent federal government are currently on bails and they have amended NAB law to get relief in corruption cases registered against them.
