Lahore ready for three T20Is against England
After a 17-year absence, Lahore will host the final three games of a seven-match T20I home series against England on September 28, October 1, and October 2.
Each team won two of the four matches that made up the first leg of the home series in Karachi, tying the overall series. The stadium’s cleaning is in progress, and the major wickets and practise wickets have been painted and prepared. After playing all four games of the first leg in Karachi, the Pakistani and English teams both took flights to Lahore on Monday. On Tuesday, practise games between the teams are planned (today).
At the residence where the teams have been boarding, roads, Qaddafi Stadium, and the surrounding locations, extensive security precautions have been implemented. During practises and games, there would be a significant deployment of contingents along the teams’ journey from the hotel to the stadium. A three-layer security screening system for gamers, officials, and citizens has been developed.
About 8,000 police officers and officials will provide protection throughout the stay of both cricket teams in Lahore and coordinate practise sessions and games, according to Capital City Police Chief Additional IG Ghulam Mahmood Dogar.

According to the CCPO, Lahore Police was instrumental in bringing back cricket matches in the city. The Punjab Safe Cities Authority, the district government, the PCB, and law enforcement organisations all fully supported Lahore Police in their efforts to provide security so that the public could watch these games in peace. When teams are moving, police will also keep an eye on everything that goes on along the routes and in the neighbourhood thanks to the Punjab Safe Cities Authority’s CCTV cameras.
