With Brilliance, two-time Oscar winner Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy will make her narrative feature picture directing debut. The Marcus Sakey book will be made into a movie by Paramount Pictures.
On the other hand, Will Smith, a well-known actor in Hollywood, will produce the movie through Westbrook Studios. Superstar Mahira Khan is reportedly in final negotiations to join the movie, despite the fact that the formal announcement on the star cast has not been made.
The journal asked, “If 1% of children in the world were born with extraordinary abilities, how would society adjust to them?” The Brilliance trilogy takes place in a future in which individuals who are not neurotypical and who are stigmatised by society as “twists” or “abnorms” pose a danger to the status quo of the “normal” population due to their special abilities. Speaking of Obaid-Chinoy, she is most known for helming Ms. Marvel, The Price of Forgiveness, Saving Face, and A Girl in the River. Smith’s subsequent film role will be in Emancipation.
The actor will play a persecuted runaway slave who fights for freedom in the perilous Louisiana marshes in the next Apple movie. The fact-based thriller’s release date has not yet been made known; it was directed by Antoine Fuqua.
