Find out Virat Kohli’s latest project in Mumbai
With the opening of One8 Commune in Mumbai, where Virat Kohli is going to transform Kishore Kumar’s home into a restaurant in Juhu, Virat Kohli is growing his restaurant business.
On Wednesday, Kohli posted a video clip of TV host and actor Maniesh Paul outside the restaurant on Instagram, providing a quick overview of the Gouri Kunj, the bungalow, and Kohli’s inspiration for the business. He emphasized that the focus of his business is on the cuisine since he wants people to enjoy the “chill out” atmosphere the new restaurant offers.
In the video, Kohli shows Paul around and takes him on a taste test, during which the actor and cricketer chuckle at Paul’s inability to handle chopsticks.
The JugJugg Jeeyo actor lauded Kohli’s participation in both the new endeavour of cusine business and cricket. “I don’t get going with anything if I can’t be involved. If I’m attached to a project, I need to be invested,” said the Indian batsman.
The restaurant seems to be decorated with natural elements like wood tones and accents of green provided by plants positioned in each corner. On the walls are digital versions of Kohli’s jerseys.
Speaking further about the meal, Kohli claimed that the calibre “speaks for itself” and recalled his worst dining encounter, which he shared with his daughter Vamika and actor-wife Anushka Sharma in Paris. For vegetarians, he continued, “it was a nightmare since there weren’t many options. There was a language barrier as well.

Kohli revealed that he is a fan of Kumar and that the place is renowned as the “Koi Humdum na Raha” singer’s home. He also sang a lyric from “Mere Mehboob Qayamat Hogi.”
“His songs have really really touched me. One person asked me who would you have like to met, I would have said Kishore Da always because he was just charismatic,” he said.
In Delhi, Kolkata, and Pune, the cricketer is the owner of a chain of eateries with the same name. In addition, he invests in a number of other companies, including brands. He will play again for Australia in the T20 World Cup beginning on October 16, in addition to his profession as a restaurateur.
