Liz Truss Resigns after 45 days in PM office

Since yesterday’s challenging day in Westminster, more Tory MPs are asking for Liz Truss to go, which is putting more pressure on her.

The number of MPs publicly calling for the Prime Minister’s resignation this morning has more than doubled in only a few hours.

After last night’s turbulent events in the House of Commons, where some MPs claimed bullying occurred during a vote on a fracking resolution, many are questioning how long Truss can continue.

All of this happened after PMQs and Suella Braverman’s resignation as home secretary.

For the better part of an hour, Truss has been consulting with 1922 chairman Sir Graham Brady in Downing Street.

Deputy Prime Minister Therese Coffey and Tory Party leader Jake Berry have joined the two in Number 10.
