BTS member Jung Kook’s performance at the FIFA World Cup 2022 Opening Ceremony on Sunday at the Al Bayt Stadium in Al Khor was a treat for football enthusiasts (November 20).
Together with Qatari singer Fahad Al-Kubaisi, Jung Kook sang the official World Cup song Dreamers during his performance. Hollywood icon Morgan Freeman took on the narrator position throughout the ceremony and delivered a sentimental talk.
The production of the event was based on a look back at previous World Cups, down to the background music, which included K’naan’s Wavin’ Flag. After winning the first game, hosts Qatar defeated Ecuador to start the competition.
