Najam Sethi only wants authority, says Ramiz Raja.
For the first time, former PCB (Pakistan Cricket Board) Chairman Ramiz Raja opened up after being removed from the position. Najam Sethi only wants authority, says Ramiz Raja.
Ramiz Raja was replaced by Najam Sethi as chairman, and with the approval of PM Shehbaz Sharif, management was appointed to bring back the 2014 constitution.
During the speaking session on his YouTube channel, Ramiz said that political interference in cricket is not justified.
“There should be no political interference in cricket. This is a highly disrespectful way of treating your cricketers,” said Raja.
“The government of Pakistan changed the whole constitution of PCB just to accommodate Najam Sethi. I have never seen this ever in my life,” he added.
He further stated that Najam Sethi has no interest in Pakistan; he just wants to own authority.
“Najam Sethi doesn’t know how many months he has to stay in PCB. He has no interest in Pakistan cricket. He only wants authority in PCB.”
The Pakistan Cricket Board’s new chairman was named Najam Sethi (PCB). Ramiz Raja, a former cricketer who was appointed as PCB Chairman by former prime minister Imran Khan on September 13, 2021, was replaced by Najam Sethi, who previously served as the PCB’s interim chairman.
Najam Sethi was appointed as the new head of the Pakistan Cricket Board on Wednesday by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif (PCB).
Sethi, a well-known journalist and media figure in Pakistan, formerly held the position of interim chairman for the PCB.
Following England’s rout of Pakistan in the home series, a decision was made. Furthermore, PCB has encountered a number of difficulties recently.
It is important to note at this point that Ramiz Raja was to be dismissed as PCB chairman after the Ministry of Inter-Provincial Coordination (IPC) provided a summary to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Shakil Sheikh and Najam Sethi were nominated as the new PCB governing board members in the summary.
