Due to his deteriorating health, Majid Jahangir, the Fifty Fifty comedian who rose to fame during the height of PTV, is currently receiving treatment in a hospital in Lahore.
Recently, the struggling actor gave an exclusive interview to a YouTube channel in order to draw attention to the dark aspects of the entertainment industry.
He revealed that he once received an invitation to a private television program on ARY Digital that Waseem Badami and Iqrar-ul-Hassan were hosting.
The elderly comedian’s medical expenses were the focus of the telethon. Waseem Badami and Iqrar-ul-Hassan were successful in collecting more than one million rupees for Majid Jahangir during the live program.
Waseem Badami reportedly offered to purchase the cartoonist a brand-new car to make it easier for him to get to the hospital.
Majid Jahangir said, “Waseem Badami and Iqrar-ul-Hassan sat down, close to my feet as if I was the biggest personality and said, “This Toyota Corolla is yours,” (which was in the studio).
He added, “I called them repeatedly once the show ended and kept begging for the money and car but they didn’t answer my calls. I requested them to give me at least money for my treatment but they didn’t even bother to give me money. I will hold them accountable hereafter.”
