Ishaq Dar, the finance minister, claimed on Friday that Pakistan was the only nation in the world to have been established in the name of Islam and that Allah Almighty was in charge of ensuring its security, progress, and prosperity.
Speaking at the Green Line Train Project’s opening ceremony, Dar said the government was working nonstop to get the nation back on track despite the blows the PTI administration’s policies had dealt it.
Given that Pakistan was established in the name of Islam, he voiced his confidence in its future success.

If Allah can create Pakistan then He can protect, develop and make it prosperous too, the finance minister stated.
Dar said efforts were being made under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to revive the economy of the country.
The minister said that Pakistan had become the 24th largest economy in the world in 2016. However, PTI’s failures took it to the 47th position last year. He highlighted the importance of investigating the reasons for this downfall.
He said that in 2013 when it was expected to default within six months, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz government had successfully revived the country’s economy.
He said that while the PML-N was in power, food inflation was only 2%, overall inflation was 4%, and the GDP was 6.8% with the largest foreign reserves. During the past PML-N administration, he claimed, the Pakistan Stock Exchange had the greatest performance in South Asia and ranked fifth globally.
