The decision of a local court in Islamabad to reject the extension in physical remand of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Fawad Chaudhry, in a sedition case related to using ‘threatening language’ against the ECP members, has been challenged by the prosecutor on Saturday.
The sessions court judge conducted a hearing of the appeal and asked police to produce Fawad Chaudhry in court by 12:30 pm today.
He said Fawad Chaudhry’s presence in court was mandatory while hearing an appeal for a grant of his physical remand.
Superintendent Adiala Jail was also informed about the order passed by the learned judge of the session court.
