5 wounded in explosion near Quetta Police Lines: rescue official

According to rescue personnel, at least five persons were injured in an explosion in the Quetta Police Lines area on Sunday.

The injured people have been transferred to the Civil Hospital in Quetta, according to Edhi worker Zeeshan Ahmed, who is leading the rescue operation on the scene.

He stated that police and emergency personnel had arrived at the scene and that the area had been sealed off.

The police have not published a comment, and the nature of the explosion is unknown at this time.

The explosion comes days after a ghastly suicide blast in the Peshawar Police Lines area took nearly 80 lives, mostly policemen.
