FBR suspends Telenor’s accounts for not paying tax

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) suspended Telenor’s accounts on Tuesday for failing to pay Rs3.5 billion in income tax.

According to reliable sources, the FBR has decided to suspend Telenor’s accounts in order to recover overdue taxes from the telecommunications operator.

According to the sources, the company was issued many notices for failure to pay income tax, but they were ignored.

Telenor’s pleas were likewise rejected by the court.

Telenor franchises around the country will also receive notices.
