Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has shockingly prohibited air hostesses and other crew members from fasting during Ramazan. According to PIA sources, the crew was prohibited from fasting for medical reasons, and a safety bulletin was also issued for crew members who desired to fast. “Crew members wishing to fast will be granted the necessary leave.”
However, sources within the PIA confirmed to 24NewsHD that applicants wishing to fast were denied leave.
“For years, the PIA crew has performed official duties while fasting, and no instance of alleged failure has been reported,” the sources said.
Despite repeated attempts, the PIA spokesperson was unavailable for comment.
