Farmers protest over increase in urea fertilizer prices in DG Khan

Farmers and growers in the district of Bahawalnagar and the tehsil of Kot Chattha in DG Khan have been outraged by the dramatic increase in urea fertilizer costs.

Farmers in both cities likewise dismissed official claims that people in the agriculture industry were rich during the previous administration’s tenure.

Kissan Ithihad President Qazi Zulfiqar Hussain stated that the government’s assertions regarding farmers receiving government benefits were a blatant fraud.

Farmers, he claimed, are living in deplorable circumstances. He claimed that urea fertilizer, which was formerly available for Rs1770, is no longer available at Rs2,500.

Farmers have been forced to stand in enormous lines to receive fertilizers for their fields, according to another producer, Abdul Rasheed.

“There are no checks and balances in place to prevent frizzlers from being sold illegally,” he continued.
