Six female teachers were arrested in the US over the course of two days, which was alarming. The teachers were detained due to having sex with students.
Danville resident Ellen Shell, 38, was accused of third-degree rape. According to a criminal complaint submitted in the case, Shell was charged with engaging in “Sexual intercourse on three occasions with two 16-year-old boys.” On Thursday, she was charged in Garrard County District Court.
According to WTKR, Shell formerly served as a teacher’s assistant at Lancaster Elementary School and Woodlawn Elementary School.
According to the news outlet, administrators from Boyle County Schools informed parents of the arrest in a letter.
The teacher, who is 38, was given administrative leave.
In the US, at least six female teachers were arrested for sexual misbehavior with their students.
Heather Hare, a 32-year-old teacher from Arkansas, is charged with first-degree criminal assault rape. According to the Arkansas Times, she will have a sexual relationship with a teen student.
According to KOCO, a substitute teacher in Lincoln County has been accused of having illicit contact with a 15-year-old student. According to court filings, the interaction took place within the school building while Emma Delaney Hancock, the substitute teacher, was employed by Wellston Public Schools. They also used Snapchat to communicate.
According to the New York Post, English teacher Kristen Gantt, 36, of a Catholic high school in Des Moines, Iowa, was added to the list on Friday for reportedly having sex with a teen student five times both inside and outside of her institution.
According to FFXNow, a James Madison High School teacher called Allieh Kheradmand, 33, was also accused of engaging in sexual misconduct over a period of several months with a pupil.
Since 2016, Kheradmand has taught learning difficulties at Fairfax County Schools. He has been charged with four counts of indecent liberties and is being jailed without bond.
A Pennsylvania javelin coach was arrested for having sex with a student she coached who was 17 years old.
According to the New York Post, Hannah Marth, 26, was detained when authorities discovered that she had sexual contact with the track and field athlete from Northampton Area High School.
